Please enjoy my thoughts on Part 1 (episodes 1-4) of the sixth and final season of The Crown on Netflix! It’s a companion piece to this post from November 20. There ARE spoilers!
It’s only 10 minutes long, but here’s a summary for those who refuse to spend 10 minutes on the Royals but still want to know what’s up with the show:
Pros:
Diana was amazing.
The costume department deserves every award.
The scenery was lovely; it was just nice to be here!
Cons:
Several decisions they made in terms of storytelling felt like cop-outs.
Peter Morgan is apparently the president of the King Charles Fan Club and apparently blames Diana’s boyfriend’s dad for her death(!??).
We didn’t get enough of the “aftermath” to feel emotionally satisfying.
