Before I got my wisdom teeth out, I learned about someone who had not correctly "gone under" for the surgery and felt all of the pain of the procedure without the proper motor skills to let anyone know. I was absolutely freaked out by this. I assumed from the amount of bad luck I seem to walk around with that something like this would undoubtedly happen to me.
As I began to wake up from my (successful) wisdom teeth surgery, I assumed my prediction was correct. Delirium and anxiety had me believing I was waking up because the anesthesia hadn't worked. The surgeon was about to remove four teeth from my mouth and I was going to feel it all. Accepting my fate, I braced for impact, and thought, "Let the pain come."
This may say a lot about me, but that's still about as bad ass as I've ever been.
Ahhh, I enjoyed this story so much!!! I've heard similar horror stories! Your reaction of bracing for the pain is amazing hahaha -- "let the pain come" so badass! I feel like I would've been so relieve to learn this about myself, that I could brace for impact haha.
I'm so sorry that you had to have a root canal but I appreciate you sharing about it with your usual gusto. When I got my wisdom teeth out, a woman I had a crush on (who is now my fiancée!) brought me baked goods without knowing about my surgery and I ate them even though my teeth/jaw hurt very badly so I could honestly praise her baking.
I watched the trailer when you posted about Severance before and was like "that looks so good" but I have yet to watch. But now I'm wondering should I wait until season 2 comes out so I don't have to wait on the cliffhanger??
Do you watch Killing Eve? If so, I need to hear your thoughts on the mess of a finale.
PLZ see The Lost City I need your review!!! No pressure but it's one of my favorite movies of the last decade!
Okay first of all, incredible story about eating your crush's baked goods so you could honestly praise them. lol I'd say it worked out for you both!!! A little pain, a lot of gain? ;-)
I AM SO HAPPY YOU WATCHED SEVERANCE!!!!! YAAASS!!!
I watched one and a half seasons of Killing Eve then kind of dropped off. I've heard it just kept getting worse and worse, though I love the two leads so much, I've considered going back plowing through to the end anyways. Thoughts?
For me, the ending ruined Killing Eve. BUT the show was honestly a fun ride for me up to that point. It's over the top and the story lines are ridiuclous but like you said the two leads are strong so they definitely carry it. There are a few side characters that I really enjoyed as well, especially Fiona Shaw's Carolyn.
I had a dentist who was 9mo pregnant hit a nerve in my face on her last day before maternity leave that never fully recovered (one eyebrow still arcs higher than the other when I smile! Supes cute). I used to be pissed about it. Then I got pregnant. And I gotta say, I'm not mad at her anymore.
you have a nerve in your face that never fully recovered!???? How do I not know this??? When did this happen? Also, though, the eyebrow thing DOES sound cute...
I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed in high school, ‘twas a great time. (Wrong, it was painful, but I did somehow convince my mom to feed me two McD’s cheeseburgers bite-by-bite before I passed out from the anesthesia hangover.) All this to say: it was revealed to me at my last dentist appt THAT I HAVE A 5th WISDOM TOOTH THAT HAS GROWN IN ADULTHOOD. How dare my mouth (& bones? Is that what teeth are?) treat me with such dis-respect.
The image of your mom feeding you two McD's cheesburgers in tiny bites is slaying me. hahahahaaa what love. What commitment.
Wait, you can have FIVE wisdom teeth??? What the heck!? And I don't have all of mine, so we should've traded. I think I only have one??? So the dentist was like, "If you have kids, they might be missing teeth." Okay, THANKS for telling me????
